Rwalinda v Uganda [Criminal Appeal No. 03 of 2015) (6 October 2017)

Rwalinda was a witchdoctor and promised a client 8,000,000 UGX in exchange for a child to sacrifice. The client brought Rwalinda a male toddler, who was found 4 days later murdered, mutilated, and missing his jaw and tongue – consistent with ritual killing.

Senoga Sentumbwe v Uganda [Criminal Appeal No. 03 of 2014] (2 August 2017)

Accused 2 brought a toddler to Accused 1, a witchdoctor, at Accused 1’s request to assist in solving Accused 2’s personal issue. A mob intervened upon seeing Accused 2 with the child at Accused 1’s shrine, resulting in the rescue of the child and arrests of Accused 1 and Accused 2.
