Accused, with others, took his 4 children from their mother’s home and deceived the mom by lying about where he was taking them. He left them at an ADF camp to be trained in Islam and the girls “married off” to fighters.

The accused persons recruited the victims, many of whom were the wives and children of the accused, to force them to join the ADF by lying about the location they were being transported. The accused were intercepted near the DRC border.

A1 (father of deceased child) appealed the conviction and sentence of death. The appeal confirmed the punishment. A1 and A2 (witch doctor) both received the death penalty under the PTIP Act.
